What’s hiding behind the trees?

We call them artificial trees and they stand for two things: recycling and the forest of the future. Our artificial trees were made from the wood of the old permanent exhibition. Scenery, pedestals, furniture, trees and much more were chopped up and reused here.

The artificial trees were made in cooperation with the Heilpädagogische Hilfe Bersenbrück in the „Impuls Bramsche“ facility. They were carefully created there in quality by hand. Here in the museum, the artificial trees not only serve as carriers of information, but at the same time stand as an abstract spatial image for the forest of the future – of which we do not yet know what it will one day look like.

Wat zijn deze bomen?

We noemen ze kunstbomen en ze staan voor twee dingen: recycling en het bos van de toekomst. Onze kunstbomen zijn gemaakt van het hout van de oude permanente tentoonstelling. Scènes, sokkels, meubels, bomen en nog veel meer werden hier gehakt en hergebruikt.

De kunstbomen werden gemaakt in samenwerking met het Heilpädagogische Hilfe Bersenbrück in de „Impuls Bramsche“. Ze werden daar zorgvuldig met de hand gemaakt volgens een hoge kwaliteitsnorm. Hier in het museum dienen de kunstbomen niet alleen als dragers van informatie, maar tegelijkertijd als abstract ruimtelijk beeld voor het bos van de toekomst – waarvan we nog niet weten hoe het er ooit uit zal zien.
